Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Last updated: September 6, 2026
GameGruPS is a small personal app for tracking games and getting personalized recommendations. Anyone with a Google account can sign in and use it.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Your Gmail address (from signing in with Google) — used only to identify your account.
- A display name you set yourself — optional, visible only to you.
- Anything you choose to add to your library — games you tag, ratings, notes, and preferences. All optional, entirely under your control.
How it's used
Mainly to run the app for you — showing your library, calculating your personal recommendations, and (if you rate a game) contributing to an anonymous average score shown to other users. Your individual rating is never shown to anyone else. We may also use anonymised, aggregated data (e.g. overall rating trends across all users) for our own internal research and to improve the app — never anything that identifies you individually.
Who we share it with
Nobody, today — we don't currently sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or any third party. We reserve the right to update this policy in the future, but any such change would only ever apply to anonymised, aggregated data (like the research use described above) — we will never sell or rent your individually-identifiable data. The app runs on Supabase (database & sign-in) and Vercel (hosting) — standard infrastructure, not data buyers.
Your control
You can back up your entire library, or permanently delete your library or your whole account, at any time from the app's Account settings.
Terms of Service
- Access. We can restrict or remove access to the app at our discretion.
- Personal use. This app is for your own personal, non-commercial use — don't try to scrape it, resell access, or misuse it.
- Provided as-is. This is a small independently-run project, not a commercial service — provided without warranty, and it may change, break, or be discontinued at any time without notice.
- No liability. We're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app (back up your library if it matters to you — the app makes that one tap).
- Changes. These terms and the privacy policy above may be updated; continued use means you accept the current version.
